About SIRC
SME Infocomm Resource Center (SIRC) is set up to help SMEs learn more about infocomm technologies.
We provide advice on infocomm usage as well as technical resources to encourage SMEs to use infocomm.
We also can help SMEs try out new ideas or develop proof-of-concept for untested innovative solutions.
Singapore Polytechnic(SP) is the first to set up to share infocomm knowledge and information, and to provide technical resources to help jump-start innovations.
About ATC Scheme
The Associate Technical Consultant (ATC) Scheme is organized by the SME Inforcomm Resource Centre (SIRC) @ Singapore Polytechnic.
SIRC was set up by SP and IDA to help SMEs to learn how to use and apply inforcomm technologies.
SIRC works with IBM, Singtel, Redhat.... to provide the many SMEs solutions.
We also work with Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry(SCCCI), Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry(SMCCI) and Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI).
OUR OBJECTIVE:
-The aim of the ATC Scheme is to close the gap between Education and Industry.
-We offer industry opportunities to SP students who have good technical abilities the chance to be successful.
-We also offer other projects other than IT projects.
-Equip students with skills that allows them to use the many applications developed by Singtel and Google.
Activities
Work on a project for a real company, which may require website design, flash sites, logo design, fliers or brochures design and copy writing.
Provide SP students linkage for internship and industrial
attachme
nt.
Take part in the many seminars and conferences every month.
Have the chance to take on projects by start ups companies in innovillage, like these companies:
-Living labs
-TICs
-YES Incubatives
Projects based ATC students will get monetary reward based on the projects involved.
SP students can be awarded with CCA points or certificate of participation.
